Found this on the net. This is why E21's have the 'tail happy' reputation.

All I can say is what a waste of a decent E21, what a tool for lifting off mid corner and driving like that.

Aside from the very dangerous driving what struck we was the lack of illumination from the headlights. Did they seem quite dull? You would think that when driving like that you would have high beams on - unless that is the high beam illumination...

you need to teach them young in the ways of the e21 :p...here is my son Ben when he had just turned 13 in his paddock basher

Nice work from the youngster, looks like he can barely see over the dash!:p Looks like he is ready for the skid pad at Decca.

I really wish I had a paddock and a bomb to use in it at that age.

he has driven both my E30, and M3 at Winton. M3 was the first time he had driven a car on bitumen, and got under 2 min lap on long circuit, he also has managed 1:53 in E30 325E

 Now I feel threatened:D. On the long track, the best I could do with the JPS was a 2:02. Mind you, out of 140 odd hp originally, I wouldn't be surprised if 60-70 of those horses had escaped from the paddock, all the front bushes were like jelly, and using road tyres. Since then (and because of my last jaunt at winton), I've had the engine rebuilt, all front bushes done, the cooling system done. Next on the list is the ignition system and the dreaded K-Jet overhaul. When that is all done, I'll be keen to compare the E21 against an E30 for time around the track.

And I have to admit that I had a power off oversteer moment at winton, similar to the video but no roll over. Going through the sweeper, entered a touch too fast, understeering towards the edge of the road. Lifted of a fraction to control the understeer, and whack, pointing at 45 degrees the other way. Caught it before I left the black stuff, but it was brutal, scary, and a huge adrenaline shot.

What an idiot indeed.

I was abosolutely loving the raw sound of that straight 6 throughout the whole video though!

Geez the E21 is bloody tail happy, could see the rear end of the car wobble around in the video!!
