Just got my 135i, and I gotta say it's oh so much fun :D My only complaint is the sound system, not nearly enough grunt. Does anyone know where/how I can get sub woofer/s installed and possibly convert to a stacker?

Alpine make a replacement hi-fi system, including amp, It is available from BMW only (as far as i know) and fits the existing setup, but i expect the exchange rate will make it very expensive. earthquake make the original subwoofers under the seats, they also sell higher power replacements that fit right in but you will need a separate amp to drive them as they are a lower impedance than the original amp can drive. Blaupunkt make a "plug and play" amp also, but no speakers, unlike Alpine, both systems provide a BMW wiring loom to make connecting easier. You can add a bmw cd stacker but be prepared for a $1000+ price, use the USB input it is better than a stacker (in my opinion) it plays "wav" files, so no loss of clarity due to compression, as well as compressed formats, MP3. You can load all cd songs to the USB stick easily via computer, If you would like info on the BMW/Alpine system Private Message me for the part nos. and installation instructions. I have been studying this myself for my 120d

hey have a look at the US company Bavarian Sound Werks (LINKY (http://bavariansoundwerks.com/category/261/0/Catalog/))

they do a lot of packages for direct swap for factory and the installation is simple enough to do yourself using there many PDFs and Videos

Also if you want to add a stacker you can get a Intravee system which basically communicates between alpine units and the BMW command system this also allows you to have both iPod and stacker connected simultaneously

good luck with it :)
