Hi there all,
I'm trying to help out my Dad with a project.

He's got back into riding bikes in the last couple of years and has been riding a Honda Transalp (Enduro bike, think Euan and Charley!) and has just bought himself a BMW 1100 (dont know exactly which model) and he's building a sidecar for it.

We're after a 15" 5x120 alloy bmw wheel for it. The narrower the better.

Do the E36 3 series cars have a 15x6 alloy wheel as an option (or even narrower)?
If so, does anyone has one for sale?

Cheers,
Ash

15x5 rim will be very hard to find with 5x120 stud pattern.

The 14 inch E30 wheels are already 14x5.5 so I doubt any E36s will have 15x5

Thanks the info Leo.
He's had a re-think -
It HAS to be 5x120 but he'd be ok with 14" as long as it's narrower than 6.5"

What are the options that might be easy-ish to come across?

Cheers,
Ash

Hmmmm just had a quick look around on this website: http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/

Looks like the smallest E36 wheels you can get are 15x7

Looks like you will need to get some sort of aftermarket or 2nd hand wheels off another brand car.

Thanks Leo,
We'll see what other alternatives are out there.
Personally I think he should have a simmons wheel made that he'll like, and after all, he only needs a single wheel...

No problem :)

Hehe, good luck with your friend's hunt and post back what he settles with.

you could try a (choke) commodore (choke) wheel, or even go to canterbury wheel supermarket in bayswater, they have had in the past a few 1 off wheels left from sets.
