Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a runflat tyre with some descent grip in the corners?

The only one I can see is the Continental Premium Contact.

Wish Michilen PS2's had run flat technology.:(

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

You can dump the run flats and fit normal tyres to the run flat wheels, buy a bmw mobility kit with the money you save by fitting "normal" tyres, as is done in M3's, The run flats wear more quickly than normal tyres also, they are expensive and not commonly available, they are heavy and not as pliable as a normal tyre which makes the handling inferior, good reasons to dump them in my view, something i will be doing when replacements are needed.

Thanks Ken,

Did a bit more research on the normal tyres and I think I will get rid of the runflats.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric have been getting REALLY good reviews but they are not out on 17 inch rims at the moment from what I hear.

They are still pretty new as well.

The other tyre I hear is good ios the Bridgestone Potenza REO50A

Here is a link of tyre tests

i have had Potenza's, Pirelli's, Yoko S drives and a heap of other top end tyres and i have just fitted some Marangoni's and they are fantastic in both wet and dry...plus the only cost me $255each for 19s compared to $465each for the Yoko's

agree RUNFLATS are POS... more trouble than they are meant to be

$600+ EACH tyre and not repairable

$600 I can get TWO VERY DECENT tyres eg German Dunlop Sport or Michelin

I am running 19" on my 3 Norm al tyres... as will get rid of 18" RFT on my 1 asap

option1garage.com.au are doing specials on Kumho KU31 Tyres they are great all rounder tyres
