very successful Australian hillclimb championships held at Haunted Hills this weekend, 3 BMW's entered, finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd, all under the old track record too

another succesful Australian Hillclimb championship, managed another outright Improved Production fastest time in winning the Improved Production 2001-3000cc class, 3 years in a row now after winning at colingrove (SA) last year, and at Haunted Hills, reverse figure 8 last weekend, there were several casualties on the weekend, the reverse 8 layout bites really hard if you get it wrong, 2 rollovers, MR2 driver sustained broken ribs and sore neck, old school Mini cooper S did full forward roll, ending up back on its wheels after hitting bank, driver suffered 2 broken vertibrae in his neck, and was airlifted to Austin hospital, he is expected to make full recovery fortunately.
