BMW Melbourne Driver Training from $350* per person
Special offer* for BMW Car Club Members for a limited time (conditions apply^)

2010 marked a new beginning for BMW Driver Training starting with a new and exciting model line up.
Participants will experience up to four different models at Phillip Island Raceway including:

123d Sports Hatch with M Sport Pack
135i Sport Coupe
323i Sedan with M Sport and Innovations Pack
M3 Sedan
M3 Coupe

The 123d and 135i will come with the latest BMW Efficient Dynamics technology. All non M models will be fitted with automatic transmission and the M3 Coupe and Sedans will be fitted with the F1 inspired Double Clutch Transmission (DCT).

BMW Driver Training provides one of the best insights into the technology utilised within our current range of vehicles, enabling us to demonstrate safety features such as ABS, DTC and DSC.

Experiencing features such as these, combined with the sheer agility and handling of a BMW within the track environment will reinforce an understanding of what makes a BMW ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine’.

The BMW Melbourne program from $350* will be based on the BMW Driver Training Intensive Course led by Chief Instructor, LeMans 24hr and Bathurst winner, Geoff Brabham.
This Intensive program is designed to provide a solid foundation for performance driving. During this half day course you will experience a number of different situations that may be encountered at touring speeds, including slalom, motorkhana, ideal lines and emergency braking.

* To be eligible for the BMW Car Club subsidised rate of $350 you must be a current BMW Car Club Member and course must be booked and paid for by Friday 18 June 2010. A rate of $495 applies to all other participants.

To book your place please contact
Events@bmwccv.com.au

with your full name, member number, mobile number and preferred session time.

Program to include:

Visually assisted lecture on safe driving techniques.
Steering technique and seating position.
Observation and awareness skills.
Vehicle dynamics including braking exercises on wet tarmac – difference in stopping distances and maneuverability between ABS and non ABS.
Ideal cornering lines.
Timed slalom and motorkhana competitions.
Paced circuit laps.
And at the end of the day all participants will be taken on a hot lap of the circuit by one of our instructors.

Session dates and times (all held at Phillip Island Raceway)

Session 1 Friday 25 June 2010 08:30 - 12:30
Session 2 Friday 25 June 2010 12:30 - 16:30

The day will commence with a theory presentation and safety briefing. It is recommended that participants dress appropriately (clothing and footwear) to ensure optimum comfort on the track and in variable outdoor conditions. Work boots, hiking shoes and shoes with a high heel or wide sole are not recommended.

Food and beverages will be provided throughout the day together with lunch. A debriefing session including presentation of certificates will take place at the conclusion of each session. Generally, poor weather conditions will not interfere with the day's training and courses will continue to run unless participants are advised otherwise.

Thanks for organising this Dave, what a blast :)

Car control in pouring rain was brilliant, trying to stop the car from sliding was not easy, learnt a lot. Having an M3 to myself for the entire session . . . Priceless.

Don't want to trade the M Roadster on an M3 . . . now just have to believe that.

Mike :)
