Well I have found a new car and the old one needs a new home. Its a Dec 1988 build 535i, 5 spd manual. Bronzit/beige metallic, with beige interior. cloth, with sheepskins!. Has done 429 000 kms. 2 owners. Log book is stamped all the way thru to 420k only at Bmw or Independent Bmw dealers.
Still looks really good, engine and drivetrain strong, no squeeks and rattles. Regularly washed and polished. Looks like a car that has only done half the mileage. Totally original condition. Really. Am looking for $3000 as is, or i might consider doing the RWC for the right buyer. Needs a new windscreen, rear seat belt buckle broken. Has no oil leaks. radiator leaks a little tho. Just put on new muffler. Has been totally reliable daily driver doing about 500kms a week driving from Frankston to Armadale. Ideal first car and still fun to drive. Engine revs smoothly and cleanly all the way to redline. Still quite a quick car really. Has 4 good bridgestone tyres. With a RWC and 12mths rego I would like about $4500. But prefer to sell as is and may be a bargain for someone. Please contact for more information and photos... can I put them on here?? Not sure this is a first for me.
