Hi All,

Please find the attached flyer for the upcoming Show N Shine to be held on Saturday 15th November. It will be held in conjunction with the Trinity Grammar Twilight Fair so everyone is encouraged to bring the family along. Gates to the oval will open at 12pm and judging will commence at 2pm sharp. Please note that even if you do not wish to be judged, if you are driving a BMW to the event you can still park on the oval for a small fee of $5 - great excuse to wash the car and get some fantastic pictures with other BMW beauties. All entrants into the Show N shine will be charged $5 for each category as well as the $5 entry fee.

If you have any questions please direct them to David Cheong and check the website for more details. http://bmwccv.bmwclubs.asn.au/

Cheers

This might sound like a really stupid question - apart from knowing that people bring cars, how does it all work?

I had a look at the club website and forms and saw that there are categories for the different type/ages of cars. How are cars actually judged?

Thanks.

Hi Jarozila - I've attached judging notes that will form the basis of judging at the Show and Shine on the 15th November. While this is not a Concours event, we will be pretty fussy about each category. Let me know if you want some more detail.

We'll get some pics and results up tomorrow when everyone is able to find some time. Weather was kind fortunately. Great efforts by those who entered for judging and some others who missed the deadlines, thanks people. Thanks also to all who supported by turning up for display.

We tried a couple of different things this year and will put the lessons learnt to good effect for the future. Stay tuned in for some announcements soon for an annual "Celebration of Excellence" competition.

Hope your hand recovers quickly Ned.

here are a couple of pics i got from the "02" register pre show and shine breakfast. We thought we would try to put them to imitate the colours in the roundel as we had 2 blue and 2 white 02's.

Notice to all members
BMWCCV Trinity Show N Shine – November 2008

I would like to formally apologise on behalf of the BMWCCV Committee to all members for the delay in distributing all post event details. As some may be aware we had a situation of a tie in one of the judging categories. After a formal review of procedures that occurred on the day, we would like to announce the winner for Class C as Mr Roger Holding. We would however like to give a special mention to Andrew Pitsiakis who came in as runner up after a second assessment was completed on both cars.

A list of winners, a summarised version of the judging sheets and photographs will be available on the forums before Saturday 17th January 2009 and will be published in the next Top Marque Magazine Issue.

Winners will be invited to an upcoming Monthly Meeting where they will be formally presented with their trophies for their amazing hard work in preparing their cars for the event. The finalised meeting date will be published in the forums as soon as we take delivery on the engraved trophies.

I would like to thank all who participated in the day and I hope that all of you are looking forward to our 2009 Celebration of Excellence. More details on the 2009 event will be available on the forum within the event section. With a new format we hope to see more and more members become involved within this valued facet of the club.

Sincerely

Jenna Patan
